Jerome de Witt is the direct descendant of the Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte and the Kings Leopold I and II of Belgium. He founded his eponymous company in 2003. From its facilities in Geneva, DeWitt is able to develop and manufacture dials and movements in-house. In 2005, DeWitt earned the prestigious Innovation Prize at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Gen ve for its patented Tourbillon Differentiel Academia. Introduced in 2010, the DW 8014 was the first entirely in-house regulator movement integrating a tourbillon. DeWitt fuses traditional watchmaking techniques such as guillochage with conceptually complex, modern movements.
